Broke inner CV.. replaced with EMPI. Within that week, brand new EMPI axle - outer cv broke, got it replaced.
its been two months, the inner cv is definitely messed up, car shakes if I get on it, it also clicks.
    Definitely going to raxles now.

Quote: So far with about 5,000 miles on them CV's and axles are holding up fine. I have pulled them apart a couple of times to check them and they do not show any abnormal wear.

Thats good to hear. It sure makes me feel a little bit better about the cv joints.

What type of axles are we talking about now? The long spline torsion racing axles or the replacement cv shaft kits they sell?

$100 right now is fine, but then again another $100 when it breaks? Or worse yet $100 now PLUS the $300 later for the raxle because the empi axle doesn't work out

EMPI® 80-1505 - Front Passenger Side CV Axle Assembly

I had good luck with my Chinese made axles, but mine were sold by EMPI. I never heard anyone who had a complaint about the EMPI axles, but unfortunately, they have gone out of business.
