  • Local car-care company Auto Mystique Car Care (AMCC) has only been open for business since June this year, but is already proving a popular choice for detailing and car care in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

We spoke with founders Zuhair Hemraj and Shaneabbas Yusufali of new local car-car company Auto Mystique Car Care (AMCC) about why they are different to other detailing companies in the UAE.

  • Auto Mystique Car Care (AMCC) specializes in car detailing and photography for all types of vehicles. Using innovative methods and a deep scientific understanding of all the products and processes involved, the team at AMCC offers your car the ultimate in reflection and protection through our detailing and paint correction packages. All our management and staff have undergone certified training and are well versed with every term in the Dictionary of Detailing.

We strive to live by our slogan - “Paying Attention To Every Detail” at every step of the detailing process and when you drop off your car to us, we’ll make sure she’s truly handled with care.

The Mercury Mystique was built based on the Ford CDW27 platform. It was equipped with a 2.0L l4/2.5 V6 engine and a 5-speed manual/4-speed automatic transmission. Mystique cars were available in a 4-door sedan body style. They were offered in two trims: GL and LS. The Mystique was featured in the “Ten Best list” of “Car and Driver” magazine for the years 1995, 1996 and 1997.

  • Mystique Car Rental & Tours Ltd. is a limited liability company that opened its doors in 2003 with a fleet of ten vehicles. Over the years, we have experienced growth in proportion with the Islands and we now maintain a fleet of more than 150 units.

BOB - The fact that the four-cylinder version of the Mystique carries drum brakes in back is something of a mystery to me. If I was going for any new car, having the best possible brakes, as well as an anti-skid system would be a top priority, although ABS is $570 extra on the Mystique. I've learned over the years that a few less feet of braking distance can make the difference between a close call and a bashed grille. I'd also recommend the traction control system that our LS version carried, which works well on slippery pavement. Incidentally, the grille and front-end treatment on the Mystique is more conservative than the Ford version, which describes me perfectly.
